How it Works

You sign up for Bon Appetour. Through the program, you host dinner at your home for people in your area or people on vacation. That’s about it. The sign up is a little detailed. They ask for you to tell a little about yourself and what you like.  They also ask about what languages you speak. That is so you don’t have an awkward dinner with people that you do not share the same language,

The Bon Appetour Site

When you sign up you have aces to the webpage. There are blog posts and a bunch of recipes. You can also go to other dinner party’s that are hosted by others. The only bad thing about it is that is not available everywhere yet. Right now it is mainly on the west coast and a few of the major cities on the east coast. It is growing and expanding every day. That is just in the United States. This is a worldwide service and is popular in Europe.

How to get paid through the service

When you sign up you put in your Paypal account and funds are transferred into it. Then when you signup to host you start with the naming the experience and then the menu. They ask how many people you are hosting and pictures of the experience. The prices start at $5.00 per person and go up to $250 per person.

Hosting a Party

You tell them about yourself and your interests in the setup account section.  Hosting style, where is venue is? Indoor or outdoor dining, smoking, wifi, and a few other questions are asked. In addition to the menu and pictures of the experience, they want to know about the environment people are to expect.

Going Out For Dinner

If you are traveling and want a great meal from the place you are visiting. I do think this is a great service. You get a truly authentic meal from where you are. The meals are homemade and served in their homes. This is eating real food from for favorite destinations.

This is a pretty neat idea, never would have thought of this and definitely something I would be interested in learning more about. Does it cost to sign up?

    • No signup is free. It is a little detailed but not to bad. It shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. I think it is great. Eating is one of mime and my wife’s greatest passions in life. The idea of traveling and getting a true home cooked meal takes away the one biggest things I hate. Going out to dinner, it is fine but I prefer home cooked food. on the other side of the equation is throwing the dinner parties. I love to cook and love to cook for people. Bon Appetour provides me a platform to do just that and get paid quite well to do it.
